Medical Documentation for Intermittent Catheters

Send us your catheter order, and we will guide you through the process.

If you have recently seen your physician about your need to catheterize

and have a prescription for intermittent catheters, we will contact your physician to obtain a copy of your chart notes and a detailed physician in order to bill your insurance for your catheters.  Some insurance plans require prior authorization, and we will obtain prior authorization for you.

If you have not recently seen your physician about your need to catheterize, then the first step is to make an appointment with your physician to document your urinary retention and need for intermittent catheterization.  We can still begin the intake process, obtain your demographic information, verify your insurance coverage, and make contact with your physician.  We can provide you with samples in the meantime, and obtain documentation from your physician immediately after your doctor’s appointment.

If you are new to cathing, we can send you free catheter samples in your French size to try until you find the catheter that is right for you.  You can speak with a knowledgeable catheter specialist about your concerns, needs, and lifestyle, and we can recommend the best catheter for you to sample.   Cathing should never be painful.  With the right catheter and some experience with a good technique, it should be quick, discrete and pain-free.  For example, some catheter users require a curved tip (Coude tip) because they are unable to pass a straight catheter due to urethral stricture or enlarged prostate.  If you have been experiencing urinary tract infections while on a program of intermittent catheterization, you may qualify for sterile insertion supplies in order to prevent further UTI’s.

After we have found the catheter that is right for you, we deliver your monthly supplies on time, every time.   Experienced catheter users will recognize the value of a supplier that provides only the top brand name manufacturers, knows how to bill health insurance, and delivers monthly supplies on time, every time.
